Gained so much weight im depressed

Hi all,

I am new to this and I am sorta ashamed I am here. Let me explain. I have 2 kids, I stay home, I am a full time student, and in the last 6 years I have been overweight by 60 lbs. The last 30 of that I have gained in the last 3-4 months. A lot of it has come on from binge eating. I can eat like a football player, its really bad, and to top it off I eat pure sugar. Cakes, snacks, junk food, you name it I eat it. I have tried all kinds of pills to help with the appetite issue but nothing works. Hydroxycut gave me the shakes and what felt like a heat stroke, and other stuff that has done nothing to help me. I really need to lose this weight. I know it is not as bad as others but I am having trouble moving around and I cannot breath because I am so out of shape. The binging is out of control and I have never ever in my life had this problem. I gained weight during pregnancy and it never came off. and in the last 3 months Ive put on 30 lbs. I am looking for encouragement to eat healthy and workout everyday. My goal is to lose 30 lbs by August (for my birthday), and the other 30 by Christmas. That's about 2 lbs a week.

If yall could help me I would really appreciate it. I am also here to help encourage anyone else who may need it.

when ever I start again to loose what i have gained I would start by just eating how i had been write everything down and find out after how many calories everything has and add the lot up. That way I can see how much over the daily calories i have been eating and then I can also see where i have been going wrong with what the foods are ,how much of the food and if i was eating just because i was bored or for the sake of the food just being there.
then i would try to work out what to cut out and how much of something i should really be eating of eat food to get the calories to fit to the daily amount and then i would try to make sure i wrote down everything and make it fit to the 2000cals i should have for eat day to get my head round the food.
this is the first time i have used mfp properly as ayear ago i had a different profile and had at first uploaded the app looking for a calorie counter. But i have been using it properly this year after understanding how it works.
I seriously think you have to get you're head around food and where what and why you have been going wrong.
hope that made sense and helps

First of all, DO NOT be ashamed here!! We are all fighting the same battle.

Now, 30 pounds is a lot of weight gain in just 3 months. Perhaps you need to see your doctor and get some blood work done. You may have some thyroid issues along with the over eating.

And it sounds like you are stressed waaay out! You may need to lighten your load a bit and take care of yourself. Do some meditation for relaxation. And see what you can cut out so as to lighten up on yourself a bit. Just a little more breathing room can make a huge difference.
