TDEE or MFP

My TDEE -25% is 1983 calories but in MFP it says to eat only 1550 .... how much should i actually eat? i usually eat around 1600-1800

MFP assumes you log exercise and eat those calories back. I've always found the two methods end up working out the same.
I like MFP because if I miss a few days at the gym (like I did this week due to illness), I am still eating at a deficit. If I had followed TDEE, I would have been eating a number that included exercise I didn't do.
Others like TDEE because you eat the same amount everyday.0 -

They are different formulas.
I would go with the higher one. As a young male, you should be above 1600.0 -
I'm a 143 pound female and I choose 1983.
Plus, 1983 was a good year! (In other words, I'm much older than you too)0
