Hi I was told by my doctor to lose 40 lbs so I started on mfp. I have been a terrible eater for my whole life. I adore sugary drinks and fatty foods. I can easily eat 2 big mac meals for dinner. I have completely changed my food habits so far but a support network would be great! love to hear your stories too!

62 and love MFP. Make sure to incorporate a planned fitness program into your new eating habits. It is a long hard road, no matter what you do, but worth it in so many ways.

Absolutely it is! I see what my folks, especially my dad, are going through as the result of their poor lifestyle choices and my strong family history of diabetes. My only hope is that I changed my ways in time to still prevent some of that! I just sent FR :)

Please feel free to add me as a friend. I'm approaching 50 (year and a half away), and my parents both died in their mid-50s so it's time for me to get serious about healthy living. I'm doing JMBR and C25K, as well as watching my food intake. I love having more friends for more motivation, especially in my age group.
