Confused about logging my exercise!!

Ok, so when counting your exercise calories do I need to log everything? Like when I do cardio and strength training, is it ok just to put my cardio calories in? And if I do log all the calories for both do I still have to hit all my net calories that day? Any advice would be helpful!! Thx :):)
