Nauseous-Need Junk Food

So I've heard that people get nauseous from eating too much or eating junk/processed foods, But does anyone else get nauseous( from illness, TOM, etc) and find that all you want/can keep down is junk food? Does anyone know why this is? Why do greasy chips and fizzy soda seem to ease the feeling? Are there any healthier alternatives that would do the same thing?

Coca-Cola does help my stomach when I'm nauseated--I consider it medicinal and give myself permission to have it when I'm sick. But that only happens 2 or 3 times a year. Not sure about the junk food--when my stomach is bad, I like saltine crackers.

THIS IS ME. I have GERD and IBS. Healthy foods that make other people feel good make me feel, well, horrible. I eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains, & low-fat dairy products still because I honestly enjoy them, but I suffer a lot of pain, indigestion, and bathroom time afterwards. I honestly feel better on a diet of candy, chocolate, and cookies than I do eating healthy meals. I've found there is no difference in my weight either way, as long as the calories are kept in check, so personally I'd rather NOT spend the majority of my time feeling like my stomach is going to rupture and having to stay in the house because it hurts so much. There have been many days where all I can stomach are bagels (not the whole wheat kind either), white bread w/ hummus or peanut butter, fries, popcorn, crackers, tons of sweetened cinnamon applesauce, flat root beer, and juice. Rice is heavenly too, when you are nauseous.

those that feel nauseous after eating fruits and veggies should probably check with a doctor--especially with bathroom time afterwards. There are health issues (especially involving the colon and intestines) that can cause this.

You can buy cola syrup to ease upset stomachs! I guess it's more fun to drink the actual soda though huh! lol
