Hello everyone! I'm new to fitnesspal. I joined because I wanted to be able to track what I'm doing, and have something to look back on. So for I love the site and app. It's easier to keep up to date then writing in a journal, which I've tried many times, but can't seem to make it stick. I'm always messing on my phone or online, so this makes sense to me. I had gadstic bypass surgery done on oct. 3 2012. I was 430 when I had the surgery, I'm down to 292. Even with the surgery, it's been a struggle to make these important life changes. I don't want to just diet, I want to live a healthy better life for myself. before the surgery I was part of the pre-surgery program. I started at a weight of 506 pounds. I was very depressed and one day i just wanted to stop being unhappy. So I worked hard to break bad habits, still trying hard.:heart::heart:
I really like how there's a community to talk to and gain support from. It's hard sometimes to find people to talk to about the ups and downs, the struggle of trying to keep fit and meeting your goal, especially when your friends and family can't really relate because they've been fit all their lives. I hope I can make some supportive friends, and we can help each other meet or goals.
