Weight loss achieved, now need help with getting bigger

As title, really. I'm at my goal weight now, just need to get 'bigger'. I'm a member of the gym but I don't trust my instructors [they tend to give you pathetic workouts so it takes more time to reach your goal and more money for the gym] and I want to avoid using the machines as much as possible [generally taken up by idiots, and so busy during the week people queue for them]. Of course body weight or dumbbells/barbells are fine. Any advice where to go from here?
