Weight loss achieved, now need help with getting bigger

                    As title, really. I'm at my goal weight now, just need to get 'bigger'. I'm a member of the gym but I don't trust my instructors [they tend to give you pathetic workouts so it takes more time to reach your goal and more money for the gym] and I want to avoid using the machines as much as possible [generally taken up by idiots, and so busy during the week people queue for them]. Of course body weight or dumbbells/barbells are fine. Any advice where to go from here?

            Eat at a calorie surplus. Add protein, and maybe something like starting strength?0

 I've been doing strength for months and finished cutting last week because I needed to take my body fat down, which I've now achieved. However, even though I'm lean, I need to get muscle up. So I think I will up my cals and get back to it.0

            Also, a good friend of mine here said I need to up my calories by 10%, but this page says I should multiply by 17.5, So which is it to be?

            Reading your posts, I'm a little confused about your experience level. I was going to recommend that you read New Rules of Lifting for Life but you've already been strength training.....screw it. You have questions, the book has answers.
