Girls lifting heavy!

This is the first time I've posted a topic but I feel so inspired today after my gym session I just had to! My training partner and I hit up the empty gym this afternoon and had so much fun! We've been training together since February and have been with a personal trainer one session a week for 8 weeks. Generally we do a full body workout 3 days a week together, one day we will emphasize upper body, one day emphasizing lower body, and one day we do an all out crossfit inspired workout.
Well today, we decided we were going heavy. Meaning less reps to see what we could really do. Over the past 8 weeks with the trainer she had progressed to:
Bench press: 45x12
Back squat: 45x12
Dead lift: 30x12 ( we just started doing deals with the oly bar last week)
And today she PR'd at
Bench:95x4
Squat: 135x4
Dead:95x4
My stats
Bench: 50x12 to 115x5
Squat: 65x12 to 165x4
Dead: 75x12 to 175x4
Just wanted to share with all the ladies. We've been so inspired by some of the heavy lifting posts on here. It can be done and is so worth getting over the fear and intimidation. These stats are a work in progress but they couldn't have been achieved without the help of our trainer who has helped us develop proper form. These weights may not be impressive to some but they are to us. We have been giving all we have and that is the definition of heavy lifting.

Great progress!! You are inspiring me to work harder at this. I love the way you and your friend have been doing this. Saves a little money splitting the trainer and you get to motivate each other. Great strategy!!0

Thanks for the supportive comments! I'm glad we can be an inspiration to someone. We still have a long way to go but we're doing it the healthy way and having fun while doing it. Splitting a trainer is definitely one of the better decisions we have made.0
