Having goals in our life!

Having goals in my life is what makes the world go around. Everyone, yes everyone, has at least one goal. Goals are things I need but yet often have a hard time sticking to them. If I mess up on my way to achieve a goal, I stop altogether or decide to start all over again. I can also be obsessed with my goals to the point that I will make the people around me crazy. I also tend to jump from one obsessed goal to the next without every completing the first one. Then I’m left with a feeling of regret, dismay, & that I let myself down. There are many tips on how to achieve your goals, from small ones all the way up to huge life goals that may take you years to reach. I must never lose sight of my goals as this will cause me to become discouraged and I may never reach them. So I’m going to try something new:
I will picture myself achieving the goals, and dreams, I have set for myself. I will imagine my life after the goal has been achieves. If want to lose 15 pounds, well, I will imagine myself 15 pounds lighter and out shopping for new clothes. Always trying to concentrate on the positives rather than what has happened in the past to stop me from achieving my goal.
I will encounter people who will doubt me and they will voice it. I will learn to ignore those negative people and smile at them when they say something negative about my goal. Focusing on proving them wrong. Imagine losing those 15 pounds someone told you that you never would lose. Again imagine my walking up to them and seeing their face when they see the new me.
Losing weight is a hard thing to do alone, maybe you have a couple of friends that all want to lose weight too. Their goals do not have to be exactly the same as yours for you to work together at achieving those goals. Now losing weight is not the only goal I have at the moment, I have 3 that come to mind that are just so close to my heart. There are two of the goals I have sent just for myself; one losing weight, two finding my inner pieces or tranquility. Now the 3rd I will not go into as it is more of a family matter, but lets just say it may be the biggest & most important of all my goals!
As I embark on my adventure to reach my goals, I need to remember not lose sight of me. I must not jeopardize my own well being to achieve a goal. I will take time out for myself, even if it is only a few minutes, read a book, take a bubble bath. Do some relaxation methods or just sit and relax quietly for a couple of minutes. Take this time to reflect on how I’m are doing and give myself a pat on the back for sticking to my goal path.
