Alkaline Water - Thoughts/Experiences?

So a couple of days ago I read that Beyonce insists on Alkaline water in her rider, and today when I was sunbathing (finally nice weather here!), I noticed the bottled water I was drinking, Saka, was labelled as Alkaline water.
It got me wondering what, if any, people consider the benefits to alkaline water vs. plain water to be.
After a quick google, I found this:
Because alkaline water has a higher pH level than does plain tap water, proponents say that it can neutralize acid in your bloodstream, boost your metabolism and help your body absorb nutrients more effectively. Some even say that alkaline water can help prevent disease and slow the aging process. However, researchers haven't verified these claims.
Some studies suggests that alkaline water may help slow bone loss, but further investigation is needed to determine if this influences overall bone mineral density and if the benefit is maintained over the long term.
Does anyone drink only alkaline water? Does it make a difference? Or is this just another myth? All thoughts welcome.
Thanks!

I'm a singer, and I use it to neutralize acid vapors in my airways/esophagus by using it with my facial steamer.
