For everyone that has lost or has 100 pounds or more to lose, in the first couple of months how much weight were you losing a week?

The first couple weeks I lost 10-14lbs. I've slowed down now, it's been a about 2-1/2 months and I'm down 48lbs. (goal loss will be 150)0

I averaged 2 lbs a week for a few months and then tapered to about 1 lb./week.0

I have around 150 in to lose. Been averaging around 3.5 pounds a week some weeks it's 1 and others it's 4. Expecting it to slow down at some point0

I have 106 lbs to lose, & lost more than 3 lbs on average a week. I've lost 26 lbs in less than 2 months.0

I lost 3 or 4lbs a week for maybe three weeks. Now I'm upsy downsy, but looking over the course of a month, I average a 2lb per week loss.0

I managed a couple pounds a week early on, but for the most part it's been a pretty steady pound a week. Takes longer this way but it's easier, so I was actually able to do it without giving up.0

I think the first week was 8 pounds of water, then a fairly normal 2-3 pounds a week for the first 40 pounds. I use Weightbot on my phone to track my weight, and my average over time is 1.7 pounds a week and 7.3 pounds a month. It goes faster than you think.0

Thank you for all your responses. I have been losing about 3 pounds a week. I'm only in my 5th week but I wanted to see how other people were losing. Thanks.0

Your current loss rate sounds good. I was probably about 2 lbs. a week when I started.0

I lost 10 pounds in the first couple weeks -- and then it slowed down dramatically -- I only lost 3 pounds in April -- granted I was not as faithful to the plan due to work and vacation travel. It can be discouraging though to have that dramatic loss at the very beginning and then to have it taper off to a more "normal" rate of loss. I have to convince myself every day -- that if I am eating right and exercising regularly -- it doesn't matter what the scale says. If I'm making good and healthy choices -- positive results are happening that may not be able to be measured by a scale.0
