North Texas - Nearly 50 Days In

Hey guys, I'm female, 21 (22 in less than a week), I've lived right at the top of my ideal weight range for my entire life and I believe it's time for me to get down near the middle and tone up my body. I'm in a pretty serious relationship in which marriage has been spoken of many times, (more importantly the honeymoon which will be in Hawaii) we are both attempting to gain "bathing suit" bodies before. He wants me in a bikini (cue mega eye roll), so I've got some work to do, mostly in my midsection. I love my legs, my chest and up is just fine, and I'd love to feel more comfortable about my stomach and lower back areas. I do a lot of running, I have my calorie goal set at 1 pound a week though I try to stay under near the 2 pound mark usually just without killing myself with hunger (especially with all the work outs I do), I drink a lot of protein shakes, and I am going to start the "30 Day Shred" followed by "Insanity". Anyone who has done either of those would be more than welcome to give me some pointers. One question I do ask is morning, afternoon, or night? Which is best for exercises? I was thinking more on the lines of doing my workout video in the morning before work, and doing the running/yoga/etc in the afternoon after work.
