This is actually a two part topic. Anyone try almond butter? I bought it today at Whole Foods. Very good . I was wondering how much of it can i eat during the day? Has a great amount of health benefits attached. The other question . I bought mulitvitamin but i noticed that it only has 30 IU Vitamin E and almost no saw palmetto ingredients. When buying multivitain, should i buy other vitamin supplements to make up for the small or zero amounts not included in multivitamin?

Yes Ive tried almond butter... I love it. As for how much of it daily - I would say no more then a couple servings worth. As with all nut butters it's high in fat and calories, and it is extremely good for you in moderation. There are studies showing people that have at least 2-3 servings of nuts/nut butter a week have lower risk for heart attack and stroke.

In regards to supplements: IMO I wouldn't over complicate things. You don't want to be popping a bunch of supplements all day long. Talk to your doctor or naturopath about the supplements. A multivitamin and an omega 3 supplement should be sufficent with a healthly well balanced diet on an average healthy person. However if you have a family history of certain diseases there may be some additional supplements you can take as preventative measures. Through Doctors and/or Naturopaths you can get your blood and/or urine tested and they can tell you exactly what you need to take for supplements. Also through the rexall drug stores, you can order a hemocode test which in addition to food intolerances (which is what its designed for) it will tell you what supplements to take.

A table spoon per day on something like an organic rice cake would be fine. Organic rice has less arsenic in it (studies show). You can also put it on an apple.

It is good for you. Just 1 tablespoon per day is considered moderation.

You can buy the same Almond butter for $6.99 from Costco (bigger jar), instead of paying $15.99 from Wholefoods.

Sorry.... I didn't really look at your photo and your name didn't give it away. It was an honest mistake.
