I am one of the leaders for a youth group at my church. On Saturday the kids had a canoeing activity. I was definately looking forward to it. I ended up being the only female leader to go out in the boats with the kids. I was so glad that I was able to go but then not only did I go and learn how to canoe but I did most of the paddling and didn't even have soar arms. It was a great time. One of the best parts though was realizing afterwards that I am in shape enough that I could do that pretty easily. This time a few months ago, I'm not so sure it would have been as enjoyable and I know for sure that I would have been much more self conscious about putting all of my weight into the boat. Now I am even more excited for the next time we get to go!!!
