How to get rid of Achilles tendonitis?

Ugh. It's back. I have high rigid arches and recurring Achilles tendonitis. This tells me I might be repeating the same thing over and over again. I had physcial therapy a year ago and it went away because I stopped running. But I like the feeling that I'm challenging myself when I run. So I started again - and so did the Achilles flare-up. Does anyone know of any stretching exercises or anything I can do?

I had this problem for a while. Ultimately, it took getting better shoes (I switched brands from New Balance to Asics, and have been happy with those), rest, and stretching. I'm finally back to running, but it took a good 2 months.
During that period when I wasn't running, I used the cardio equipment at the gym (elliptical, bikes) to reduce the impact -- so I got my cardio in, and gave the achilles a (not complete but partial) break. (Icing the achilles right after exercise helped as well)0
