Thanks Bobbie.
We had a good time yesterday even though it was really hot. I didn't go up in the plane but Alex and Steve did. Alex loved it! He acted like a plane all evening and has been praying for the plane. It's really cute. I'm glad he liked it so much. A year ago he would have wanted to hide in the car because of the noise. He's grown up a lot! I wanted to go...sort of. It was just too hot. When I get hot I tend to panic because I can't breathe very well. So I told them I might go when it's cooler. But his wife and daughter went up in the plane and that was the first time they'd ever been on a plane! So that was neat.
We were suppose to meet friends for breakfast who I haven't seen in 6 ? years, but her little girl got sick during the night. So we got up early and will actually be on time for church this morning! Maybe have lunch with friends this afternoon. No plans this afternoon. I should work out because I am feeling a bit down and I've eaten too much. Tomorrow we're going back out to our friends' house for the day.
I guess that's it. We're doing okay as long as we stay busy. When things settle down for a bit we struggle. :ohwell:
Hope you all are having a great weekend so far.
Pushing through boogaloo!

Morning, pebbs...
Today I'm trying a new Zumba class at a new studio. My neighborhood has all these mysterious teeny boutique gyms above stores that barely advertise. I discovered a new one last week in a building I walk past at least four times a week. They offer drop in classes (boxing, pilates, ballet barre and zumba) for 20 bucks a pop. Good to know. That makes three places (well, four if you count the walking trail) that are less than two minutes from my apartment that I can work out. Problem...combine that with the organic fruit market, the naturally raised butcher shop, the two coffee shops and the gelataria all also less than two minutes away....now I never want to graduate and move.
So, it's new Zumba, some shopping some cooking and maybe a little cleaning. Also, marking for an hour. I may go camp at the coffee shop to do this. So far I've alphabetized 8 out of 10 piles and graded two. I did the math and it is literally 1400 assignments to grade in just over two weeks. I'm recording my hours, and will file a grievance for overtime if I go over 90 hours (this is entirely possible, as it takes about an hour just to alphabetize two piles, and it will take hours to record them, and I'm also responsible for recording attendance (in my experience, off of a non-alphabetized scrawled in sign up sheet, this takes about an hour per class). Also, I've sent several "please clarify x,y, or z for me !" emails to the prof to no avail. When it comes to the university, I'm ready to be grateful for the "not toothache.":ohwell:
But, the sun is out and afternoon/evening showers are in the forecast (this is great news for allergic folks!) In the cosmic scheme of things, my problems are teeny.
So, mostly positive boogaloo.:flowerforyou:0 -
Back from Fort Worth. I think I'm having some sort of allergy attack. At least, I hope so - I have three yoga classes to teach tomorrow. I would like to go to bed soon.0
