I just bought me scales, and while i was measuring milk in my 250 ml cup, my scale were showing 85. Are ml different to grams, or i just don't understand something? Also my cerial packet sais it is 300g, but when i put it in a scale it shows 123...

ml is a measurement of liquid volume. Grams are a measure of weight so yes they are different. Weigh solids and measure liquids then you'll be accurate.

Sounds like something is wrong with the scale or some setting is not right. 250 mL of milk should weigh between 250-275 grams.

edit: And yes, mL are different from grams. Liquid measures are given in volume and a scale measures weight, so a scale is not useful unless you know the density and calculate the weight. Water is 1 gram/mL, so it's a 1:1 ratio, but milk is more dense, oil is less dense.
