Sugar

I am new to this whole macros thing but I am trying to do 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 10% fat. How much sugar do ou allow yourself a day? I notice on MFP that it automatically gives me 24g a day but by the end of breakfast I am over that (I sometimes eat yogurt and oatmeal). Or does it matter how much sugar? I usually go over maybe 10-20g a day.

Sugar really doesn't matter as long as you don't have a medical reason to watch your sugars.
Personally, I avoid processed and refined sugars (so yogurts, flavoured oatmeals, etc etc) and go for fruit. I only worry about my sugar if it is coming from processed/refined sources instead of natural sources.0 -
