looking for advice and friends.
I entered into the 2014 brighton marathon as I want a challenge and something I can say that I've done. worrying thing is I currently don't run much. I used to run all the time but fell out of the habit.
anyone got any advice an how I should go about training? I was planning on completing the c25k then B210k then half marathon and then full marathon training plan.
I would like to plsn to run all the way round but that might be too much for me.

Congrats! I completed my first full marathon 1 year ago and just did my 8th yesterday. Not sure what plans you are looking at for your half and full training, but check out Hal Higdon or Jeff Galloway, both have great plans. Don't be afraid to run/walk during your marathon. While I can complete a half marathon running the whole way and just walking through water stops, the thought of doing that for 26.2 miles was very overwhelming. I use 4:1 run/walk intervals for my full marathons. Works great and my legs recover pretty quickly. Good luck!0

If you haven't regularly run in a good while, I'd definitely start slow and work up. If Couch to 5K seems too easy, maybe skip ahead a few weeks, but don't over do just to be further along. I've stopped and started C25K a few times. Then, I started trying to get in a mile before my upper body lifting days as a warm-up. Then, I was running the whole mile, then I got faster. So, when I decided to try a 5K plan, I went for a more advanced one that started with 1 mile as the shortest distance to run. So, you could also look into a more advanced training program for 5K to start with, or, just jump straight into a 10K or marathon training program. Hal Higdon is suggested a lot. I like Jeff Galloway's philosophy of run/walk, and you can start with more walking than running as you build up your mileage, so check out his training plans as well.0
