Hi, My name is Katiepie and I have been overweight, for most of my adult years. With each new daughter (I made five) I gained weight while nursing and generally being inactive. I am having another try at living healthier and losing a little weight. In these first few weeks I lost a kg and have already shed a few cm's about my body. So I am really pleased. I have been walking a little more and trying to eat healthier, with some success and also some "could do betters".
I am looking for a few buddies who would be willing to share this journey with me. At the moment I only have two very nice friends.
I weigh 111kg, that puts me in the 240's I think and I would like eventually to be a healthy weight for my quite short height of 161cm or 5ft 3".
My goal is a lb a week to lose, with 3x90min activity sessions. My sessions are fun but I do get quite tired after putting in a decent amount of effort. I stationary bike and walk. We live on a hill so my walk could be described as a hike. I also started a toning session as part of my weekly regime. I find it's easier for me to arrange my week into "house" days and "workout" days, I find trying to do too much in one day for me is very difficult and I end up doing parts of both badly.
I look forward to getting to know you all and making good friends. I hope I too can be a good supportive friend too.

Added. I am currently 225 and 5'1. My goal is 130 even though they still say that is in the "overweight" category. We'll see how I feel when I get there
I have personally started swimming again, and wow. Never really considered that a workout, but I'm glad it is!0 -
