Hello Everyone
I just joined MFP a week ago.
I am a small frame woman age 62 , 5 feet 1 inches tall and was weighing approximately 130 lbs and now at 120 lbs with a goal of 112 lbs. I have been using the 5: 2 fasting type diet.and recently gave up alcohol.
I have good leg and arm muscles for my age but I feel soft and flabby in my trunk although my waist is fairly well defined. My behind does not have good tone . I have had 4 kids.
My question is ... am I too old to begin using weights to tone my trunk and improve my legs and arms ?
I don't have any health problems that I am aware of and don't take any medication.
I brisk walk every day . Should I do more cardio ?
Thanks for any advice

You are never too old, as long as you are doing it safely and listening to your body's demands!

Here's a site by my 42 year old cousin who now makes a living off of being a pro fitness model! She has many tips and tricks about food, diets, exercises, and overall training.

    Anyone can do it!

You are never too old. I am 58 years old and just started using weights a few months ago. It's actually needed as part of your exercise program as it helps with changing your metabolism. We need that at our age! You should incorporate it into your weekly exercise program. I will do cardio one day and weights the next and so forth. I usually never do it on the same day. Good luck! Sounds like you are off to a great start! Welcome to MFP!
