Calorie Intake Help, Please?(To Raise or...)

I was eating 1250-1300 calories on average. I am a recovering EDNOS patient, and am 5'7.5 amd 121lbs. i relapsed slightly, hence the low calories. I realize that I cannot continue losing weight, and was losing about 1.5-2lbs a week on that low amount, however I would like to maintain close to this weight, hopefully within two or three pounds. If I were to raise my calories to say, 1500 per day, would my weight gain be less if I lengthen the process (i.e, adding 100 calories per week) or if I go to 1500 over two or three days? A weight gain of 5lbs of temporary weight won't bother me much, especially because I should weigh a bit more at my next appointment, but I'm talking about over the next three weeks or so, or in other words, long term.
