How do I keep sugar low?

Hello, I just joined because I was getting bored with my old method (Lasted 6 years) and felt I was cheating myself. I needed something new. I found I can do an ok job of managing calories and fat but I find it nearly impossible to keep my sugar down. Sugar free food gives my a stomach ache. Couple pieces of fruit and I'm at my limit. Ideas? Oh yeah, did I mention I had a sweet tooth?

I wouldn't worry about it unless you have a medical reason to monitor/limit it.

Hmm you got me on that one, I have a piece of dark chocolate once in awhile other than that , I don't eat food with sugar in them , apples & strawberries are all for now. Maybe if you take a break from all sugar you will lose the need for it??

The only thing that bothers me is the belly fat and at my age (50+) I think other than the exercise I'm already doing and the fat I'm already watching, that is the only knob left to turn.
