What shuld my goal be do I have to stick to it to lose weight

To lose weight, all you have to worry about is eating less calories than your burn.
However, if you want to lose FAT and try to keep as much muscle as possible, you need to increase protein intake - especially if you are working out at all. Your body cannot make protein, so if you aren't getting enough, it takes it from your muscles. To avoid that, you need to increase the amount of protein you eat.
