Lifting and the Scale

Tomorrow will complete my first week of lifting, and I am pretty sure I wont see a difference on the scale, am I correct with this logic? I may see results with measurements though correct? My goal is to build muscle to help with my metabolism, and as I progress lose weight.

After only a week, I doubt you'll actually see any difference in measurements or scale.0

When I started lifting, I didn't measure for the first 4 weeks. I weighed every week, but didn't measure. I didn't expect to see the scale change, or if it did, I expected it to go up. But I knew that after 4 weeks, I should have seen something on the tape measure, even if it was only a half inch! So on the fourth week, I measured and I wasn't disappointed. My point that I am trying to make, is if you do measure each week, don't be disappointed if nothing changes for the first few!0

K first off it depends where you start. The thing to remember is that while your body repairs, it is adding weight to your body. However if you are large like I was the whole "you're replacing fat with muscle so you won't see it on the scale" is crap. If you have access fat to lose, you will see a decrease in your weight along with building muscle. As for measurements, it may be a while. It took almost 2 months before I saw significant numbers, but now I'm to a point that the inches lost are HUGE (I can send you my reports via inbox if you want). I also only measure 1X per month.0
