so I want to lose 7lbs I think I have been eating well please check dairy
but I have noticed when I drink water I bloat really bad which makes me look bigger than I was before when I was not drinking water..
I used to drink
tea ,orange juice or lemonade
but now I have given up those(apart from the odd lemonade when hot)
is it normal to bloat after drinking water?
its been just over a week and I feel real down about it
I am restarting 30 day shred after one hell of a bad weekend and this time I am going to stick to it all week no cheat days
I got really bad stomach cramps and light bleeding when I first started 30ds but they soon went after 4 days has that happened to any of you?
thanks

Could be a gender thing...but my water intake has skyrocketed. In 1 month...I've gone from about 3 cups of water a day to 12-14 cups total a day...I use to drink alot of diet sodas and much more coffee than I do now (limit myself to 2 cups now)....That coupled with getting back on track with calorie counting, and I've dropped 7 pounds in 27 days....
I try to only weigh myself once a week, and generally try to keep my sodium levels as low as is realistic for me...I don't get too overly concerned with it honestly.0 -
I was going to say that it might be due to sodium but I checked your diary and that looks pretty good. Water does have mass, so it will make you heavier, but it is needed. Perhaps you are flushing out toxins. All the drinks you were drinking before contained water, so essentially you are drinking the same things minus the sugars, etc.
I say give it a little more time to balance itself out.0 -
Sometimes when you initially start drinking more, it does cause some initial bloat, then you will see a dramatic drop in bloat (to less than before usually).0

I'd say watch your sodium / salt intake. Plus, you might not be drinking enough water. Calculate your body weight and divide it in 2. Drink that amount in fluid oz. So for instance, If I am 140 lbs, I would need 70 fluid oz of water a day. If I have a bad day or blow it with eating something really salty, I will add another 10 or 15 oz.
Hope that helps and Good Luck. Getting married is the best motivation!0 -
Two possibilities spring to mind:
1) You're drinking more than you used to, and you're experiencing some bloat as a result. If that's the case it'll go away in due course.
2) Hormones. Water retention happens at different times during different people's menstrual cycle - you may have started drinking more water around the time that you would experience some bloating anyway.0
