Protein questions

I have tried Dynamatize Nutrition and Jay Robbs whey proteins and both give me upset stomach. Is this because of the quality or does this sound like whey intolerance? What is the highest grade of protein out there? Does anyone else have this problem?

It could depend on a lot of things. Mostly have to read the labels and ser if its something in there that your body doesnt agree with.

I personally use Love and Peas all natural protein powder supplement. All the ingredients are non GMO and I can pronounce everything in the ingredients. It's 20g of protein per scoop and it digests really easily. I've had similar problems with whey and soy proteins because they are so processed.

Well... Love and Peas is a meal replacement, rather than simply a protein supplement. At 16g carbs per serving (vs 3g in the ON) it doesn't fit my macros as well for what I want post workout. And any protein powder is processed: that's the nature of isolating protein from any source. There's also a whole lot less ingredients in ON Gold than in that Love and Peas.

But, to the OP, there are sources of protein other than whey, if you find you are intolerant. Veggies, egg, caesin, soy. Note that if you are actually lactose intolerant rather then whey intolerant, look for an isolate rather than a concentrate. It is more highly purified (yes, processed if you like, but I think that's a good thing) to remove most of the lactose. You might just have to try a few, and see what you can handle.
