Eating Disorder/Body Malfunction?

Pretty much every month I go through a phase of not being able to eat for about a week. My body physically rejects the food I try to put into it. What is wrong? Has anyone else had this issue? I am hungry but when I try to eat I get queasy and have to run to the bathroom and everything I just tried to force my body to eat comes back up. Sorry TMI but seriously what the BLEEP is wrong with me. I’m not eating anything out of the ordinary and I’ve even tried to change what I eat up but it still happens all the time, just putting food into my mouth my body starts to reject it. It’s so frustrating because I’m so hungry and need the energy. Please send helpful comments.

Sounds hormonal and probably linked in with your cycle. I would keep a diary of when it happens and go to the doctor.

Agree with others. I thought it was interesting that you put "eating disorder" on your post. If you think hard about what triggers it, and stress or emotional difficulty are part of it, this may be a mental health issue. The way you described it though, it doesn't exactly sound psychological, and if you don't have poor body image, fear of food/eating, need for control or other signs attached to it, make sure you aren't pushed into a diagnosis and/or meds that don't fit your situation.
