HRM overestimate calories?

I just got my Polar FT4 and used it for the first time. The HR recordings seemed accurate to how I was working, I did 16 minutes running total in a varied terrain and then a 41 minute walk. My HR was highest at 98 but averaged between 185-195 during my run then around 150-155 for my walk. However it is telling me I burnt 670 calories in this time? Is that possible? For reference, I am 5 foot 11, female and weigh 156 lb. Many thanks for any responses

Yes it is possible it overestimated.
I do find that a high burn, I am similar weight and it takes more than an hour of running to burn that many calories.
You can check out this post on how to test.

Well that was my thought as it takes me an hour on the treadmill to burn that much! It was interval training if that makes any difference and it was hilly but I am pretty sure it is an overestimate.0

Yep, seems a little high. I've been running for several months and I am pretty consistently around 10 calories/minute when running.0
