Ticker Time!

So I delayed this for a few days, you know...just to be sure.

But today, I decided it was time. Time to change my Ticker.

When I first started on MFP, I decided that my Ticker would show how much weight I had lost. That seemed like the best way to start out when you have 82 pounds to lose. Seeing it going up would be a good form of self-motivation and keep the realism of the numbers in my mind. "Just add another to the loss" was the goal.

I had reached around 25 pounds down when I realized that I was looking at the number now with pride, but I also was starting to feel a hint of contentment with all the weight gone. In a moment of self-awareness, I realized that about the time I was mid-way through I would feel even more content with the losses that had piled up. I realized that I would need to change what I was seeing. It made perfect sense.

When I reached my midway mark, the Ticker would change from Pounds lost, to Pounds to go. This way, now the number begins to look smaller and smaller...more manageable as I go. (Yeah, I know those last pounds will be the worst, haha)

So there you have it. My Reward for reaching the half-way mark is Changing my ticker!
