Is it okay to jump straight to maintenance?

I was just curious about this. I've been losing about a pound weekly at 1200. My TDEE is about 1600. Since there isn't that much of a gap between the two, would it be okay to go straight to maintenance once I hit my goal or would I have to go up 100 calories a week or so like it seems a lot of other people are doing? Thanks!

I wouldnt say it would be a problem, there is such a small gap like you said i dont think you would see any significant change.0
