Hi all,

Before I start, I KNOW how silly this sounds. I drink a fair amount of water throughout the day generally, but the last two days I've really tried to up it. This has been plain water, green tea, and both with lemon juice in. Since doing this, I've started feeling really sick. I didn't think it was possible or harmful to get too much water! Just wondering if the water or lemon is actually the cause, or I'm just feeling a bit off at the moment.

  • How much are you talking about? If you're talking 3-4L a day, then no, it's likely just that your belly is full of sloshy water and you're not used to the sensation. If you're talking 4L+ a day, you could be washing your electrolytes away. Try adding a pinch of salt to every liter of water to see if that helps. You can't taste that little salt in that much water, but it would help keep your electrolyte levels stable.

    Hiya,

Thanks for the quick reply on this. It's more toward 3-4L a day. Might take your advice on the salt though, hadn't thought about that!
