Walking Speed?

How can you determine how fast you walk without an app to tell you? I just went for a 43min walk, it was approx 4.1km. No way to know for certain bc part of my walk was around a pond & google maps doesn't tell the kms but hubby was able to guesstimate for me. I have no clue how fast I was walking but know it wasn't leisurely. I am not a walker, this was my first real time so I am unsure how to log it?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

    Pace calculator.

You can also go out and do a time walk that you know the distance to get an idea of what your pace is and assume from there.

When logging I always underestimate. I go with the dog walking pace.

Distance divided by time equal speed.
Map quest where you started and ended and then divide the amount of miles, or whatever walked and that's how fast your going.
    It's easy peasey, lemony squeezy.

Get a cheap pedometer that can work out distance then you can work it out.

I don't care about how fast I go, but I log from my heart rate monitor so I'm not using MFP calorie values because they're rather off whether too high or too low. I suggest getting one until you're really worried about how fast you're walking. The average person walks about 2.5-3mph

omg I am an idiot, (feel free to laugh!) I just remembered when reading this that I had on my pedometer!! I didn't reset it before I left so it says a total of 5.7kms but 759 steps was before I left, now it says 6346.

    lol thanks for the reminder!
