Ladies : Diet during TOM?

Hello Ladies (And you lucky *kitten* who are men and therefore don't have to deal with this horribleness)
Basically, just wonder if you girls change your diet during that lovely time of the month. I get AWFUL crams, so bad I have passed out from the pain, had to call out of work to spend the day in bad in the fetal position practically in tears because of the pain, it seems like no matter what I eat, it upsets my stomach severely. I've tried all the OTC meds like Midol, Alieve, Pepto, Imodium, Zantac ETC with no relief.
I have found through trial and error that it's particularly bad when I eat anything with dairy or a lot of sodium. Dairy is always iffy for me but normally I do fine with yogurt, not sure why but during that wonderful week that REALLY bothers me, so I know what to avoid but I struggle to find things that agree with me while also keep my energy up enough to work out that week.
Suggestions? I'd like to avoid the prescription pain medication route and unfortunately birth control has really awful side effects for me so I can't take it so I'm looking for a more natural way to deal I guess.
I am just fed up with it! Any suggestions?

I know that on months where I drink plenty of water and eat less sugar and salt, my TOM is far less horrid (usually) than months where I eat a lot of junk. But it's far from an exact science; I've had times where I eat well and I'm still moody, cramped and headachy and other times where I ate more junk and had a normal TOM. Still, generally speaking, the better I eat and the more I try to exercise and reduce stress, the easier my TOM is.
I hope you feel better soon and if it's that horrid, could you see a doctor? It could be there's something else afoot here.0 -
While I'm on I don't really feel the need to change anything, if it's especially bad I'll go a few days without exercising, but in the few days leading up to it I always go crazy and end up eating the worst things ie chocolate and I crave things like chips and salty snacks for some reason.0

I try to drink as much water as possible, which seems to help with my stomach cramps.0

my stomach kills during my tom.
so i have to be really careful what i eat. usually cheese and bready things. i also have ibs, so tom makes it 10x worse.
but then i also get intense cravings for junk, chocolate and fast food.
i basically take some tylenol and try to get through it. it's only bad for about 2-3 days.0
