Training for a half-marathon

Congratulations on committing to your first half-marathon! You'll have a blast. I did my first about 6 years ago and since then I've run 9 halfs and 8 full marathons. In addition to what everyone else has suggested, my suggestion is to find training partners in your area. I know the "moms RUN this town" group in our area is very good, so you might search for one around you. Having a partner / group to work out with really makes a huge difference! I have lost 47 pounds since joining a running group!0
