I'm so confused. I'm not loosing st the moment and am even using grenede fat burners.
I weight 9st 6 and would like to loose 1 stone. I exercise 3 times a week.
How many calories should I be eating and what about protein, fat and carbs.
Thanks

When I started I let MFP figure all that crap out for me. It set me at 1200 calories and I lost about 25lbs using that, though while losing those last 5 pounds I hit a plateau every other week, so I had to up my calories for a couple days and I now range between 1300-1600. I use the 30 day shred 5 days a week. There are many people on here losing with up to 2,000. But from personal experience 1200 seems to work, though you hit quite a few plateaus on that amount. Maybe try 1500 or 1600
I've been told you should eat about 1 gram of protein for every two pounds you weigh. I weigh 212 so I should eat 106 grams, maybe a little less.
How to Calculate Your Protein Needs:
1. Weight in pounds divided by 2.2 = weight in kg
2. Weight in kg x 0.8-1.8 gm/kg = protein gm.
Use a lower number if you are in good health and are sedentary (i.e., 0.8). Use a higher number (between 1 and 1.8) if you are under stress, are pregnant, are recovering from an illness, or if you are involved in consistent and intense weight or endurance training.
Example: 154 lb male who is a regular exerciser and lifts weights
154 lbs/2.2 = 70kg
70kg x 1.5 = 105 gm protein/day0 -

1 stone is ....14 lbs? I'd suggest setting your MFP settings to lose .5 to 1 lb a week since you have under 20 lbs to lose and eat back at least a portion of your exercise calories.0 -

This. Eat back at least 50-60% of your exercise cals.
Use the app correctly, as it is designed, and -AMAZEBALLS- it can work....
...but don't instantly take someone recommending 1200 calories. Check out fat2fitradio.com or scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ to figure out your needs.0
