Peanut Butter M&Ms in the UK

I work for a US company, and when a US colleague returns to the States, they always bring back family sized bags of peanut butter M&Ms which are very popular.

You cannot buy this flavour of M&Ms in the UK, which surprises me as they are easily the best flavour. Someone has suggested that the reason they are not on sale in the UK is because there is an ingredient which is illegal in the UK but not the USA.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

You can get them in the UK but from specialist american stores at a very inflated price. Have a google and you will find some shops, or there is always good ole Amazon :)

There's actually a petition I saw to bring them to the UK. From what I researched, it seemed like they weren't in the UK because Mars didn't think they'd be successful in the market, which is honestly dumb. Who doesn't like peanut butter M&M's? D:

Me, I don't like them, I don't like peanut butter at all, give me nutella any day :) I only saw them when I was looking at american stores for Marshmallow Fluff, though that is now in Sainsbury which will save a fortune should I need to buy it again :)

If you're not a peanut butter lover, I can totally understand. For those that like peanut butter, though, the m&m's are heavenly.

I loooooove marshmallow fluff. I will eat that stuff out of a jar if I get my hands on it. I also love nutella for the same reasons. I don't think I've ever spread either of those condiments on anything. xD

I really want to try red velvet cake as the yanks are always banging on about how good it is. Why don't we have it in the UK? The only place I've seen it sold is in Harrods, or those awful Betty Crocker packet cake mixes.

I suppose I could find a recipe but I just can't be bothered, lol!

    They have Reeces Pieces though.

    And they're better anyway.

Isn't it just chocolate cake with red food dye in?

And peanut butter is not a popular flavour in our sweets in the UK, so I think they don't think they will sell so well. Of course, I love anything with peanut butter so I would disagree!

I just wish Reese's had UK standards of chocolate on them, we can get their stuff easily now but the chocolate has too little cocoa and too much sugar for me. Blech. Ruins what would be awesome sweets.

We have a couple of bags of PB M&M's in the snack bin at work. I've had my eye on them for a couple days, but have been resisting the urg....and then as I'm sitting at my desk, I come across this post!

They seriously are the best flavor. Wish I had more insight for you! Maybe try Amazon?

I swear I've seen them in tesco and sainsburys! The amount of times I've avoided buying them (too good!!). I think more US products are making there way over here, like the cookie butter/lotus spread & fruit loops!

Interestingly, when I was over in Europe I noticed that peanut butter in general isn't a big thing like it is in the US... it seems to be replaced with hazelnut products like Nutella... I'm not sure why, though; seems weird to me. While I was in Spain a small jar of JIF peanut butter (in a specialty store) would've cost me 12 euros O.O but Nutella and a billion off-brands of it are EVERYWHERE.

    Any explanations? Anyone?
