I remember seeing a thread recently where this question was asked. I just came from a doctor appointment where that actually had bearing on the conversation.
Short answer is: YES.
Context of the conversation was that I have recently had a panniculectomy (removal of exess fat/skin after sizeable weight loss). That actually changes the body chemistry a bit. I told him I had seen a conversation thread where this was brought up and wondered if it was true. He said actually, it was.
So - if anybody was out there wondering about it - there's the official word - or so one doctor says anyway.![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
For what it's worth.....
