I am looking for your stories...how much weight did you lose before you were able to fit into airplane seats better? Before you were able to stop worrying about sitting in a chair with arms and whether you could fit into it? What are the little things along the way that made this journey worthwhile?

Looking forward to reading replies :)

  • I've lost 92 so far. Yesterday, I sat down at my Serger sewing machine with a big pile of underwear and took them in by two inches on each side. That was a pretty awesome moment.

For context: Yes, I am poor and cannot afford to just buy new panties. :)

You can do this. My biggest hurdle was overcoming a profound sense of powerlessness when it came to my weight. That powerlessness is an illusion. Toss it out!

You can look forward to the knowledge that you can do any damn thing you want if you set your mind to it. That is what I learned and the most important thing I ever did for myself.

    im down around 60 lbs....
My butt fits completley in the seat of my Miata, and I can feel that the butt cushion foam doesn't really compress that much
My office chair doesn't sink into the carpet, so it rolls around easier, forcing me to sit with better posture.
