I find that motivating a friend is great motivation for me

I have a close friend who would like to lose 2 stone by July. I told her about MFP and she signed up already about 2 weeks ago, and she already lost 3lbs. We are also starting Couch to 5K together next week.

I had and still have major motivational issues - for a very long time I found I'd rather feel down than get those trainers on. But we talked around 2 weeks ago, and she said it'll be great if I could help her get going. Then she joined MFP the next day.

As much as I struggled to do SOMETHING, I find now I can't wait to get together with her on Monday after work and get going! It's amazing what happens when someone actually wants to get started and is looking to you for motivation - she emailed me today and said "thank you for being my exercise conscience"

I'd say - if anyone is lacking in motivation, maybe find someone who wants to do the same but hasn't started yet because they need that kick to get going, and you can be the kick?
