Supportive Swimsuit for DD+ Cup

OK Ladies, I need your help. I searched the boards for this topic and didn't find what I was looking for. But I'm not sure if it was deeper or ingrained more than where I looked.
Here is what I need: I'm looking to start swimming some laps and I need a supportive swimsuit for a DD+ bust. I know that some are going to suggest the usual TYR, Speedo, Nike, etc. What I don't like about those suits is that they just smush your boobs down and they're all saggy - those suits don't offer any support.
Do you know of any suits for lap-swimming purposes that offer support (above brands included)? They don't need to be fancy or cute.
Thanks for your help!

Have you looked on Modcloth?
Also there is this - http://busts4justice.com/2012/04/10/christina-hendricks-to-launch-own-swimwear-line/0 -
No idea. But I am curious as well.0

Also interested in the answer. After losing a bunch of weight, the girls are still big, but need even MORE support to keep them where they belong! :blushing:0

www.petticoatfair.com has some good options. my grandparents-in-law opened this store in 1964 and my husband's uncle now owns it. it's a really classy store that has everything from mastectomy to bridal to pjs. nearly everything in the store is cup-sized (rather than S-M-L sizing). bands on bras range from 28-56, cups from AA-N. they have some cute swimsuits that will offer the support you are looking for. good luck with your swimming!0

Herroom.com has a variety of suits in DD+ sizes. It makes searching easy and then you can always check on Amazon for a better price and usually loads of reviews. I'm not a swimmer, but more of a "sit by the side of the pool and lounge" so my choices probably wouldn't work for you.
good luck!0 -
It's not perfect but I wear a crop top over my bather. I have a speedo that zips up at the back- tricky to get on but is more supportive.0

Have you checked out Athleta.com? I've had great success in their suits and after third pregnancy I'm up to E cup and their suits still hold 'em up!0

Check Altheta.com. They have sports-centric suits with bra cup sizes and support structures including underwires in some. I did buy an underwire tankini from them before I started losing weight and it was supportive. They have bikinis to one pieces, swim shorts, skirts, tie necks, straps, etc.0

Great minds...was typing as you posted!0 -
I don't know what size of suit you need but my favorite supportive swimsuit I got from Junonia.com, of course they are made for full figured plus size (XL- 6X). Hope this helps a little bit.0

Bravissimo is a fantastic shop (also, if anyone needs to get measured I can't tell you how much I'd recommend it). I'm in the UK though, don't know if they have other worldwide locations - worth looking online though. Really good brands that they sell (and other stores sell) are Freya and Panache.0

Thanks for your comment. I already own Freya bras (everyday) and Panache sports bras. Love them!0 -

This looks like it might work! Thanks for the help!0 -
Feel your pain!! :blushing: I started as a 48 DD and struggled to find something for laps and water aerobics. I love this suit, and actually bought it in 3 sizes when it was on sale so I had something to move down to.

It's a bit pricey, but holds up really well in the chlorine water and frequent washings. they have quite a variety of underwires, but I don't like tankini's for water aerobics, and can't do a halter, so this is what worked best.
Good luck!0 -
go to the old navy website....look up & there are 4 or 5 dif stores...athleteca......you can purchase tops or swimsuits by cup size...pricey but you get what you pay for .....very worth the $0

Thanks All. I checked out athleta.com. They only go up to a DD cup. Unfortunately, I am a 38F.0
