A good exercise to start with?

I've always avoided the idea of intense exercises, but since I love food and want to be healthier, I'm trying to incorporate more exercising into my daily life. I love walking and live in a city so walk for hours at a time, which I'm sure burns calories but I want to do something more. I also go to concerts and music festivals at least two times per week, so I jump around a lot there. I'm looking for something interesting enough for me not to give up on it and hopefully something I can do at home, as I'm unable to join a gym in my country due to regulations against tattoos. And of course, something a bit beginner friendly.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm open to pretty much anything at this point.

Is there a way to do strength training with no equipment? I'm in a state of moving between countries for the next two or three years and am hesitant to invest in any equipment until I have a stable place to live.0

Walk faster. I walk at about 3.5 to 4 mph and it is a good cardio workout.
gyms might let you join for a month or two or pay per session. My gym does (university sports centre)0 -
I'd love to join a gym and plan on it when I move again late this summer but where I'm currently living will not let you join gyms with tattoos unfortunately.0
