Hi all - I am about to embark on a low carb high fat dietary lifestyle based on Kat James' book The Truth About Beauty. I am trying this to even out blood sugar spikes. For those using this method to lose weight what do you have your daily percentages for protein, carbs and fat set to? Kat does not speak of percentages in her book and I think it'd be very easy for me to go overboard on the fat (cause all yummy things have them) so I'd like to keep it in check based on the success of others doing this. Thanks!

If you are trying to do a high fat diet the fat is unlimited. I looked into Kat's diet a while ago but it was hard for me to follow because I just wasn't sure what to eat and what not to eat. She really doesn't lay out completely straight.

What I am learning is that by getting a glucose meter you can see what feeds spike and DON"T spike your blood sugar. I'm considering going this route myself. It seems to me that if the body makes every effort to "clean" out excess sugars from your blood then it means your body really doesn't need that much carbs to begin with. If you use a glucose meter before and after meals you will see how many grams of carbs are ok on your body.
