Do you HAVE to eat the calories you burn from exercise? It seems like you would lose weight faster if you did not. What are the benefits and downfalls?

It is recommended that you do.. you are already eating a deficit in calories, so working out puts you at a lower deficit making it harder to loose weight, some people do, (or they don't log everything) but its not common.. for example if you eat only1200 cals but burn 600, your putting your body into starvation mode. you need fuel to work out so eating the extra calories (healthy ones) is recommended. I eat my calories but thats me GOOD LUCK :bigsmile:0

Also your metabolism needs a little gas (food) to burn fat/calories more efficiently and effectively. So you could increase your daily calorie deficit by not eating your exercise calories, however, you could potentially be hurting your metabolism rate.0
