My suggestion is to go see your MD.
Some soreness following exercises can be common, a sharp PAIN however is not.0 -
Gallbladder?? Might have an inflamed one although I am not sure why it would bother you during exercise.0

I do the 30 day shred also and the kickbox kickfast workout by her. Right under my ribs has been hurting constantly for weeks. Because of that I somtimes can hardly finish workouts somtimes.0

Mine did the same thing! After the first day, I thought I was going to die. Pain under the ribs. I kept at it, and it went away!0

Obviously, it's cancer. Well, that's what WebMD says.
See your Doctor, as was already mentioned. A certain amount of discomfort and soreness is to be expected, especially when doing a not so gentle workout, but pain, especially persistent pain, is not something you should be experiencing. It could be a number of things including gull bladder issues, inflammation of cartilage, etc etc, but these are all guesses and without seeing you, I doubt all we could do would be to give you guesses, and also agree that we have similar pain.0 -

This happens to me if I eat something heavy 2 hours or less before working out0

I think it is somewhat common to get pain under your ribs when working out, especially if you are a beginner. I have had the same pain as you described while I was running. I googled it, and I believe it is called a "stitch". It is often caused by dehydration, or eating too much before a workout. It seems to help me if I lift both of my arms above my head and breath in and out as deeply as possible.0
