Ok so im not going to lie I was slavking at the gym for 2 wks
But working out is not my problem cause ill do something active
Everyday to keep in shape..
My problem is food
I can eat healthy or if I eat "bad"
I really can keep under my calories for the day but my issue
Is when im at work I can have my 3 meals for the day or 2 and my 3rd meal at work
But if im at work I get like obsessively hungry like im straving to death (I work 3 to 11- 40 hr)
Like I haven't had a meal all day
So then I turn to pb&j cookies icecream pizza
And its so annoying cause I do well and once I get to work
Its like hell.
I dont understand why I get so hungry and I've eaten.
I coild use all advice I can get

Okay, heahs whatcha do.
first, start with paragraphs, add subjects, predicates and VERBS. Nouns are, permissible but optional.
from what I can try and decode, you are okay except for when you're at work, and at work you become famished?
What do you do at work? If you have a physical job, then your increased activity will indeed spur hunger to set in, because you are more active than your are feeding yourself for.
Some foods to help keep you feeling full and satisfied:
Protein - meat, soy, fish, eggs, protein shakes, all will help you feel "full"
Vegetables - they're high in fiber and low in calories, so you can eat as many of them as you want without breaking the bank!
You should try and avoid sweets and cookies, they are essentially flour mixed with butter, sugar, sugar, butter, sugar, and chocolate.. It's like a trifecta from hell of everything you should try and avoid if you're near your calorie goals for the day.
You can structure your meals and your meal timing to fit your day any way you want. You don't have to eat something to get your metabolism going.. you're heart's always pumping, your blood cells are always being replaced, you're burning calories just by breathing, eating won't "stoke" your metabolism by eating early and often any more than eating on your lifestyle schedule.
Make your dietary choices fit your life, not the other way around0 -
Like, you might want to stop like eating all that ummmm junk ...yeaaaaa thats it ...0

You Said This :
"So then I turn to pb&j cookies ice cream pizza "
Nothing wrong with eating these things in moderation, BUT they are high in carbs and spike blood sugar which in turn leads to...wait for it....
HUNGER
You have to balance your diet in your macro-nutrients if you want to control hunger. Meaning get plenty of protein (at least 100 grams a day or more) and good fat (not just the trans fats in all that junk) along with the carbs you are eating.
I know there are people on this board bragging they can eat what ever and lose weight. This is true for them . BUT if the food you are putting your mouth triggers your cravings then you are having blood sugar spikes. So you are on a cycle of spiking your blood sugar, and over eating (hunger, eat things high in carbs, blood sugar spike, hunger, more carb loaded food, more spikes, more hunger, more carb load, weight gain!).
You are going to get a lot of advice on here about drink water and what not, but you can not argue with your body for long when it is craving something. IMNSHO You are fighting your body chemistry and setting yourself up for failure because of the food choices you are making.
So break this cycle. Eat balanced macro nutrients. I use a macro nutrient gram ratio to control my hunger: 3:2:1.5 .
Protein 150: Carbs 100: Fat 75
Those are my targeted daily macro nutrients. Now that I eat a lot of protein and fat in addition to the carbs and work out daily I am rarely hungry (except when I should be). I don't get a lot of late night crazy cravings either unless I did not eat enough calories through out the day.
PS I was a high school teacher for 20 years and read essay crap like this all the time, so I guess I can understand what the person said LOL0 -
I read this twice, and I'm sorry but I just don't get what you are trying to say.

If you are saying there that you eat 2 meals at home then your 3rd at work, then why when you get really hungry do you not eat that 3rd meal instead of pigging out? Or do you eat the 3rd meal then later pig out?0 -

Sorry I was typing fast because I am at work.
Ok,
What I am trying to say is I drink more than enough waterst a.
I eat breakfast usually around 10-11am
I eat lunch right before I head to work around 230pm
When I'm at home I eat plenty healthy.
And I have snacks in between usually a piece of fruit.
So, I pack a dinner for work I do my best to eat my dinner between
6pm and 7pm
Before and After I eat my meal I drink 16oz of water.
If I feel hungry I drink water, atleast 3 cups
And a pack of saltine crackers.
But most of the time when I do this, I feel like I'm straving.
So then, I pig out with the cookies and sandwiches they have at work.
So between 7-11pm I just feel really hungry even though I have eaten
My meals and snack for the day.
So i'm asking how can I control my hunger after I eat dinner
Since thats when I get the hungriest.
And i usually workout at 1130pm because thats the only time i can
Get a work out in.0 -

you either need to eat more calories and or pack healthy snacks with your dinner..like string cheese, greek yogurt, etc
if you are 'ravenous' then that means you are not eating enough...
how many calories per day do you eat/net?0 -

Perfect!! BTW, I was only poking fun because I love you Nor'easter-ners
ditch the dry carbs for stuff that has water in it. Do you have access to a microwave at work? The steamfresh bags that you can buy are lifesavers in a clinch.
Personally, I'm having a love affair with the steamfresh bags of edamame, they're steamed soybeans in the pod, they have a TON of protein, and they make you full.
If you're still starving after you eat, then you're eating the wrong things. Try and figure out a way to swap the saltines with veggies or protein, like a thick slab of meat, fish, or even make yourself some low cal deviled eggs.
Take some hardboiled eggs, halve them, mash the yolks with a tablespoon or two of skim milk, salt, pepper, other seasonings that you like, and a bit of light mayo, and refill the egg whites. Top with paprika if you like. That always hits the spot for me.0 -
I eat about 1300 per day or try to atleast.
I've never tired the steamed veggies but i'll try it out.
I don't drink protein shakes regularly just because
They taste weird to me, maybe I make it wrong.
Also im scared to up my calorie intake because, I feel like
I'll gain a lot of weight back on.
If I buy pre-made protein shakes are they better or should I try making
The shakes myself until I get it right?0 -

The special K ones aren't bad, I like the strawberry. You have to find a brand that tastes right to you. And you can always make them with skim or 2% milk, makes the chocolate kinds taste phenomenal.
With you working out as much as you do, I wouldn't worry about gaining weight, you'd have to eat in a surplus to gain fat.. but eating more will slow your rate of fat loss. It's up to you0 -
Ok, thanks very much.
I'm going to try what you are suggesting and hopefully, it will work out for me0
