melon addiction

I really think i am addicted to melon(as strange as that sounds). It is the only food i crave and constantly think about it, to the extend that when i have it in the house i cannot fall asleep until i've eaten it. It is such a pain because it really eats away at my daily calories. Is there a physiological reason for this? Or is it the high sugar content?(I eat VERY clean- like 90/10) Any ideas how to break the addiction.
