Winter is here considering getting a treadmill

Im my part of the world winter is here and its getting rather dark and cold when I go for my walks at night so I am considering getting a treadmill, I know nothing about them and there is so many to choose from can anyone recommend a brand? the link below is what I have to choose from.

    I got mine a few years ago off ebay got a very good deal. One thing that you should really compare when purchasing is the length of the deck. Some look good but you will have trouble walking on them never mind striding out or running.

    If you're walking on the treadmill, rather than running, you might want to look at ellipticals or arc trainers. They are fabulous calorie burners!

    I agree - look at getting a different machine that you'll enjoy using all year round. An elliptical or a rower maybe? Then when summer comes you can use that as cross-training with walking/running instead of just doing the same thing on different surfaces.

    Ellipticals are not for everyone. They hurt me heaps so I refuse to use it, it's not a natural way to walk or do anything on those. I would suggest either going for walks during the daylight hours & rugging up or if you really really REALLY cant do that then & only then get a treadmill.

    I run in the dead of winter. It's getting that way now here & I'll be out in 3 deg running.
