Observation??

When I first started I was working out 5x week and my daily calories were 1,800 (TDEE -20%) and I lost 1/2 lb. a week. Being impatient I dropped it to 1,700 & still lost 1/2 lb. so of course I thought I'd try 1,600 & didn't loose anything so I upped it to 1,700 the next week & again lost 1/2 lb. then I went on vacation & regained the couple lbs. I'd lost (of course!). So I figured my "range" was 1,700-1,800 and 1,600 was too low. Well I've got an injury and DR orders "no workout" so I thought I'd average my TDEE between sedentary & light minus 20% which is about 1,500 ( my BMR is around 1,450). So for the past week (my first no workout week) I've done the 1,500 calories & lost 1 lb. Needless to say I'm puzzled by this. I'll take it of course & time will tell at next weigh in if this is going to be my "magic number" until I can get back to the gym.

What has anyone else done during injury & no workouts?
