I think my scale is dying

Options
I've noticed the last couple days that my scale is giving me weird answers. I can step on it 5 times and 5 different answers...and not close answers, they're 3-5 pounds apart.

Is this a sign that the batteries are dying or should I chuck it and get a new one?

I would try changing the batteries first.

Is it digital and self-balancing? If so, make sure it is on a floor (not a carpet) and replace the batteries. Mine always goes wonky when the batteries need replacing.

If you're looking for an excuse to buy a new scale: Go buy a new scale.

Otherwise, change the batteries and see what happens.
